If we think of the douchebag as a social identity as much as an accusation, as a subject with a distinctive persona locatable within the categories of race, class, gender and sexuality, then we find that the term carries a remarkably precise definition.
The douchebag is someone — overwhelmingly white, rich, heterosexual males — who insist upon, nay, demand their white male privilege in every possible set and setting.
The douchebag is always a white guy. But he is more than that. The douchebag is the demanding 1%, and the far more numerically significant class of white, heterosexist men who ape and aspire to be them. Wall Street guys are douchebags to be sure, but so is anyone looking to cash in on his white male privilege.
This narrowness of categorization — perhaps unique in the history of America’s rich history of racial and sexual slurs — is what makes the word douchebag such a potentially useful political tool.

Douchebag: The White Racial Slur We’ve All Been Waiting For — Medium

This is a great, interesting, insightful, long read.

But the article states the FBI investigation has evidence that Michael Brown reached into the car to fight Wilson. Would Wilson really be a racist coward if someone if someone reached for his gun?

Wilson’s claim is that he feared for his life.

Did he fear for his life when he told Dorian Johnson and Mike Brown to “get the fuck on the sidewalk”?

Did he fear for his life when he reversed his car to confront them again?

Did he fear for his life when he allegedly grabbed Mike Brown by the neck?

Did he fear for his life when unarmed Mike Brown was running away?

Did he fear for his life when unarmed Mike Brown was 100 ft. away from his car, surrendering with his hands up?

The whole “Mike Brown reached into the car to fight Darren Wilson/tried to take his gun (which would have had to been out already for Mike to try and take it), failed, ran away, changed his mind, turned around and charged at Wilson after already being shot about 4 times” story doesn’t make any sense.

Remember, Darren Wilson shot and killed Mike Brown only about 2 1/2 minutes after initially approaching him. If Mike Brown did attack Darren Wilson, why didn’t Wilson write an incident report? Why didn’t he share his side of the story 70 days ago? Why would the PD go out of their way to lie about the distance Mike Brown ran from the car? Why isn’t Mike Brown alive today so he can tell his side of the story? Darren Wilson made sure Mike Brown would never get to tell his side of the story.

Black people are not trying to BE white people. We do not wanna replace you. Women do not want to be men. We do not wanna step into…male bodies. That’s not what we’re talking about here. We’re not talking about being the absolute same as people. We’re talking about being treated equally—meaning I don’t wanna be a white girl, but I don’t wanna be discriminated against because I’m not a white girl. I don’t wanna be a man, but I don’t wanna be denied a promotion or get paid less because I’m not one. That’s what the fuck we’re saying…

Simply because of who we are, shit is not fair. So all the different ‘isms’ that y’all try to act like you don’t need, or you don’t understand, or you don’t see the point of, or you don’t wanna identify as: it’s all about leveling the motherfucking playing field. Not about making us all the goddamn same…And I don’t understand why y’all act like this is so fucking hard to understand. Is that a crazy concept?
